i kno everyone has thier own preference for camo choices... i myself like multicam, digi woodland, and the mercenary style look..(black tactical pants, tan shirt, black vest, etc...) But i figured i would see what everyone else likes...

if u play a sniper position... do you prefer a burlap/jute style ghillie or something like special ops paintballs action ghillie or the bushrag synthetic leaf ghillie??

i have both a standard style burlap ghillie and the specops action ghillie...

action ghillie

I myself have fallen hard for MARPAT, at least in regards to playing just about anywhere in New Jersey. It just blends too well with the combination of living and dead pine needles, oak leaves, clay, etc. that we see around here. Multicam is a good all-around camo if you only want to have one set of cammies that will work decently everywhere, but MARPAT is much more specific to the terrain here, as far as I'm concerned. Plus, camo is pretty cheap, I'd rather have multiple sets that blend really well, than one set that blends ok. Not like I'm worth a damn for sneaking around with two 88 cubic inch air tanks, 10+ 140 rounders, and an Opsgear SAW A5 in my possession, but if I were, that would be my philosophy.

Ghillie is cool stuff but I lack the patience for "sniper" duty. Like my team-mate Devil, I prefer to find the enemy by being the loudest, most brazen mofo on the field, so they all come to me instead of making me stalk them ;)

I also like British DPM for some reason... It doesn't work too well in this area, but its kinda spiffy lookin.

As far as web gear/vests go, I stick with OD, anything else just sticks out too much.

oh yea man, i agree the digi woodland works wonders in some of the outlaw spots i play in. and i too am for having multiple sets of camo for maximum blending abilities...

I'm right on with Rogue. I've liked the MARPAT from the first time seeing it. The OD web gear/vest and stuff make it easy to swap around on differnent kinds of camo.

I also like posting up all kinds of new stuff I come across because it usually makes Rogue grumble and sent me "nasty grams" through the PM system

Marpat is the winner in my book for all the reason rogue stated and hell if the Marines prefer it, you know there has to be something behind that. but a close second for me, is the multicam. i have no idea how good it is for blending in this area, but i do know i love the way it looks.

as for ghilies i am all about the burlap ones (something about the action ones make me think they wouldn't blend in well) i like the fact you handcraft the burlap ones 99% of the time. just wish they weren't so hot  ............... one of these days i have to bring my ghilie out for shits and giggles.

yea my burlap ghillie i had to build from the netting up, same with the action ghillie. having it laying on the floor doesnt do it justice in the pic either... i havent used it yet, but i kno a few people who say it works miracles! but who knows!

and i agree, i wish burlap ghillies were a lil lighter... i kno a friend of mine removed strips of the bdu jacket in the back to make it breathable, and u couldnt see the missing material through the burlap

See this is tough--because it is environment oriented. In Central Florida where I am everything that has green, brown and black does well in the palmettos and underbrush. In fact tiger stripe does real well in most actual woods scenarios here. But in cities I prefer the traditional urban style, and always go with black at night--just have to work the shadows and it all works out. Image

I prefer woodland bdu's since,I can blend in pretty good in the Florida woods. Last time out I was hidden in a V between two trails and the opposing team couldn't find me but I found them (all who oppose became extinct). I've been thinking of multi-cam. But it's up to a team vote. That's it for now! Rabbit---Team X-tinXtion---all who oppose become extinct
