So, in light of the high cost of . . . well, everything . . . these days, how have your paintball plans been affected? Gilligan's Disciples has already felt the punch. We'd like to buy new gear, but haven't managed to go there yet. We're wondering how it'll affect which games we'll actually make, and how many other players will be there.

How about everyone else?

i too have felt the impact of the high prices of everything in general these days... due to needing to purchase a new vehicle, my playing time has been severly limited... hopefully not too long tho, but do have to miss some games and practices untill i get the finances straightened...

We all gotta figure out some big things if we're gonna fit paintball into our budgets. But then, we can heartily thank sponsors (UOA, in particular) for helping out there. :D

indeed our UOA sponsorship does help alot! thanks again UOA... one thing tho that i have really noticed with alot of fields is they are also raising paint prices by a few bucks, or the charge for all day air... lil things like that which tend to add up ya kno...

I hear ya there! I mean look at skirmish...$100 for 2000rnds!!! Ive seen places even higher. That is one thing I like about on target there pretty cheap and the paint runs around 50-60, at times the paint can be a little messy but for the most part I would say 98% of the time I have had no problems with the paint.

yea man... out here on long island theres a field called high velocity that charges $100 for a case of paint at thier outdoor field... $15 for all day air, and $25 for admission... LIC now plays at Cousins outdoor in coram cuz its only $55 a case and like $33 for admission and air..

im just glad the past 6 weeks was good for me with makin some extra cash... bought alot of new gear that i desperately needed, now i can concentrate on just saving for games and travelling(gas and food and such)

Hows that HiVi field to play though? From the pics I've seen it looks like a sick field to play. I remember seeing the prices alittle better for the big games too. Not real good prices but alittle better.

high velocity is a decent field... alot of real-world props, and small. most of the fields are about the same size and seem kinda set up the same way, just different themes per field... and yea, for scenarios they drop the paint price to 75$ a case... the castle field is very nice... but they have a tendency to cram ALOT of people on it at a time.

These times are hard in every region. I spent $80 just in gas this weekend to go practice. I feel fortunate that we play at a field that allows Saturdays as Bring your own paint--it helps out quite a bit---especially for me. I have 13 year old Quadruplets with 3 being on the team--my expenses are scary to say the least. The support that UOA is offering is great---and we the entire team is grateful.

Me and my woodballing team, are trying to hit as many events this spring and summer as possible. This weekend we're going up to Liberty paintball for their Big Game :D. Should be good, their expecting about 500 players. Then we're going to see what Skirmish and OnTarget have coming up and see if we can hit those too.
