I handled one at West Creek paintball, that gun is sick! It's lighter than the X-7.

LOL it doesn't take much to be lighter than an X7 Corey ;) If you want a REAL testimonial, its lighter than my SP1!

I got it yesterday and got to shoot it today, freaking awesome! Can't wait to order up a stiffi in cocker threads so I can finish my silencer setup and get it mounted. I want to make it look like this:

Forget the stiffi!

Buy a Deadly Winds Fibur Barrel, they take freak inserts & you can use a Battle Swab on them!

http://store.deadlywind.com/product/a52 ... 42e12.aspx

Aside from my PPS barrel, these are my favorite yet.

I was going to use a deadlywind except that they're spiral ported... And the design of my "cosmetic" silencer makes full use of the straight Stiffi porting. It'll all make sense on the 9th... provided it "works". And by "works", clearly I mean "doesn't work" as I wouldn't want to piss off the ATF lol.

well, technically speaking, the letter of the law mentions "any device that can be used to silence an actual firearm", so for one, a paintball gun lacks the muzzle velocity to be classified a firearm, and two, the way mine is built, it would explode if used on a real firearm and almost certainly wouldn't actually muffle the report even if it did hold together. Not to mention how the burning gases would be vented back toward the user lol... I'm pretty sure I could legal-ese my way out of it if I had to... but until then, its "cosmetic" all the way ;)

It only has to work once to be considered and silencer. So until then, it's a "rain cover" to keep rain out of the barrel...

I got mine too, I am currently on the prowl to pick up a front sight to fit the mp7 look, already got the red dot reflex scope on top. And possibly looking into a c-series stiffi from SO with a dev. tip, but I think a 4" is going to be too short.

Rogue, also saw on a5og that you were selling the b5, :( the tm-7 taking its' place?

Actually Mav, you're in luck... I've got the 4" c-series with a BMG tip on it for my A5, and as it turns out it will fit just right in the TM7, with a small bit of barrel showing between the muzzle brake and the gun... That is, assuming 4" is measured from the tip to start of the barrel threads....

And yeah, the B5 is actually pending sale... The simple fact is that as much as I liked it, I'm trying to get away from tippmanns (i have 4, technically down to two now that the B5 and X7 are getting sold... ok technically one since the other's been in pieces for about a year now), and I need the money to recover from the $1700 I have to pay as my share of the security deposit and first months rent of the house I'm moving into. I just put a crapload of work and $$ into the thing too, but I'm keeping only the markers I like the absolute most... TM7, Ion, SP1, AK-A5... everything else is going.

wow, so the c-series will sit, sweet deal. Does the 4" give you any real performance issues? I would think 4" though would be a little too short, the shortest I have used is a 8" bigshot.

On a sidenote, I am in the same boat as you.

Had four A5s, sold three. Currently in the process of turning it into an MP5
Then I got my Stock Sp-1 (Probably my favorite thus far)
Then my Milsim M4-98 (My Custom Baby)
Then my two T9's (Trying to Sell One/Both)
And now the Tm-7 to add to the family :D

Oh and then my loaner Spyders....

Too much for me considering I can only roll out onto the field with one marker (A sidearm is always overkill in my opinion thus far)
